Working on a Research paper

Cognizance of the plight of Indian child beggars and the need for an institutional rehabilitative framework Summary “States Parties shall protect the child against all other forms of exploitation prejudicial to any aspects of the child's welfare”- Article 36: United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC). The Indian government being a signatory to the UN CRC is bound to protect the rights of child beggars. Drawing on detailed field study done by Deshpande fellows in Hubli-Dharwad, we propose a much active and serious role by the government of India in rehabilitating child beggars. Adequate cognizance must be made to the deplorable situation of child beggars and institutional frameworks must be designed urgently to save the child beggars, currently caught in a vicious cycle of unending indignity, abuse and marginalization. Expanding on our hypothesis we put forward reasons for inadequate humanitarian work done for child beggars. We discuss reasons for the failure

Market Oriented Value Enhancement(MOVE)

Image
Market Oriented Value Enhancement (MOVE) is a method to approach income generating activities for the poor, landless, asset poor, and illiterate with marketing as the central focus. Marketing, for our purposes, is simply defined as understanding the customer’s needs and wants and designing and delivering products and services accordingly. Participants ask, “What does the customer want?” first and then, “How do I deliver it?” Market Orientation simply means shifting the participants focus to customers. Instead of being oriented to their own perceived abilities (or lack of) participants will undertake a business venture according to customer demand. This is market orientation. Value Enhancement is the process of continuously evolving new products and services to cater to customer needs and demand. By adding value to products according to the customers’ wants, entrepreneurs can serve specific market niches that larger producers cannot cater to.

Innovation...a different view

Can't agree more for the fact that innovation is the most important factor for entrepreneurs but it is important to highlight the ignored part of innovation. Ideas that work lie in between being outrageously innovative and being mediocre, a great idea is one whose time is now not the future. Though it is important to aggresively be futuristic but the big pitfall might be the complexity of idea itself, ,my mind wanders that the perfect idea would be one that a common man can understand and make sense of while the venture capitalist can see the innovativeness too. The excitement of innovation can make us work on ideas that are too far away from today's world offcourse these are the ones that transform societies but such ideas should have really small practicable implementations. It pays to say ,an idea should be simple.A simple idea is indeed an innovative one. I know all that i say is controversial...but its just a thought i need to keep in mind.
